Summary
Control Chat is a niche radio control (rc) aircraft site built utilizing a popular online publishing tool called WordPress. The site serves as a spring board for research and development into online usability, search optimization, and targeted marketing.
Objectives & Overview
Control Chat is dedicated to the new and aspiring radio control airplane hobbyist. Its roots lie in my personal interest of radio control and a desire to create an online presence that accurately and successfully introduces new members into the hobby.
The information on the site (a majority written by myself) is not strictly an exercise in communication or copywriting, it is also an exercise in writing for web and for search engine optimization. In addition, the site's success (given its size as compared to other comperable web sites) serves as a model to understand the results that can be achieved when one correctly follows established usability guidelines and online interface design.
